The Honourable Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica gave a live exclusive interview via ABS Radio (Antigua and Barbuda) on 21 September 2017.

 

The Dominica High Commission, in response to the state of emergency declared by the Honourable Roosevelt Skerrit, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, wishes to inform and appeal to nationals and friends of Dominica across the UK to mobilize efforts in obtaining resources to aid Dominica.

Aid to Dominica

We have had hundreds of calls at the office and know our nationals and friends of Dominica are ready to act. Please organise yourselves locally whilst we coordinate from our office key contacts in your region and collection dates for shipping. Relief items donated through the Dominica High Commission will be sent to Dominica, and will be distributed by the authorities.  Therefore, the items listed below should be sorted, labelled, and packaged correctly, with the date of expiry of food items checked.

 

The Prime Minister made note of the following items as most pressing for the victims and the High Commission will accept on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th October 2017, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m the following select items for immediate shipping:
